DR. PAM JOHNSEN
DVM
I graduated from University of Ct. in 1991 with a bachelors degree in animal science and attended Tuskegee University from 1991-1995. I grew up in Westport, Ct. and decided to make Kentucky my home because the people are friendlier and I love the grassy rolling fields and the lay of the land. As well I am a big horse lover and own two which I keep at my small farm in Taylorsville. I love dressage, tennis, crafts, and gardening also. I started my practice in September of 1997 and have grown it into a very successful, progressive practice. I believe in delivering excellent client service and animal care. I have an ultrasound unit, a heart monitor for surgery, in-house blood machines, digital x-ray , and a therapy laser. I insist on pain medication post surgery and require blood work for pets over five years old before any anesthetic procedure; as well animals over eight will need an IV catheter placed. I strive to be the best and if I don’t know the answer to something I have many resources available to help me. I value each client and love to educate people about providing excellent pet care. I realize people’s pets are their children and treat everyone with the utmost respect. My staff is trained to assist me and answer questions at any time. Please feel free to contact us.
